The Hermit Houses were designed by the duo behind the Cloud Collective, Daniël Venneman and Mark Van Der Net. Instead of focusing on building one incredibly intricate piece of architecture, the duo decided to take a completely opposite route and put together a design that could be mass-produced and easily moved.
The 'Lou' is the latest addition to this line of affordable housing. This design allows individuals to focus more on the back garden, and considering the abode is quite small, this opens up the area just that little bit more. An open concept is used for the inside, instead of chopping up the small space into bite-sized chunks. One of the most remarkable aspects about this design is the price: the entire construction can be done for only 20,000 Euros.
