Architecture studio Proctor & Shaw adds a new extension defined by its blocky structure in the form of the Heath House. It is filled with light and is made using wooden materials; added to a Grade II-listed villa located in the North side of London. It has been implemented to replace the awkward-sized rooms at the home to create a modern space for working and living.
Co-founder of the studio, John Proctor speaks about the home, stating "Heath house is about transforming the home to create a sanctuary for wellbeing and family conviviality, in part a response to the confinement experience of Covid-19. Development is maximised, above and below ground, whilst ensuring the heritage value of the listed villa is maintained."
