Square Enix, the developers and publishers behind some of the most iconic games in the world, announced a new farming game titled 'Harvestella.' Harvestella allows players to live in a small village while forging relationships with the other citizens of the village. Additionally, the player can run their own farm where they grow bountiful crops to earn riches and feed their local town.
In order to gain more materials for the farm, players can set out on adventures where they must take up weapons to fight monsters, such as oversized scorpions or plant-like creatures. The primary goal of the game is to prepare the village to survive what is called the 'Quietus' season. In addition to the four traditional seasons, Quietus is known as the season of Death, which threatens the safety and security of the village and its inhabitants.
