Give your hamsters the mobility they deserve with this hamster-powered toy. If you’ve never heard of a strandbeest, they’re massive skeletons made of PVC that can move on their own because of their design. Strandbeests use wind or stored air pressure to move around on their own, you can see what I’m talking about here.
The hamster version is a scaled down strandbeest that uses a hamster in a hamster-ball as its power source. Your hamster will look like it’s controlling a robot while it walks around the house.
I-Wei Huang is the tinkerer behind this quirky design. The design started out as a DIY kit that he wanted to hack. After putting some work in, he was able to give his hamster some “legs” of its own.
