The GRIND Z by Zirobio is a unique eco-friendly pencil lead that does not use graphite -- instead, it uses coffee grinds. This is an all-natural alternative that produces zero waste in comparison to regular pencils. When formed, it is 5.6mm which comfortably fits in any clutch pencil so that it can be used to write, take notes, sketch, and more.
Each lead is made using recycled coffee grounds along with binding agents and the result writes an earthy brown lead that can write on paper and evokes a coffee scent. Coffee grounds are a large contributor to landfill waste and GRIND Z diverts the grounds from becoming waste, turning it into a creative tool instead.
