Located by the Provo River in Woodland, Utah, this 1800 square foot, corrugated metal grain silo home is an interesting concept. The work of Gigaplex Architects, who have produced silo style homes for other clients, created this home for a single man and his weekend visitors.
The compact home lacks in no way. It is stylish with interesting curved walls. The home's southern exposure maximizes the use of passive solar heat, in addition to propane heating backup. Each sleeping unit utilizes the idea of “Bed in a Box,” like personal sleeping pods, with each unit complete with it’s own stereo sound and flat screen monitor, how cozy!
