Toyota GAZOO Racing, the motorsport/performance division of Japanese auto manufacturer Toyota, has officially unveiled its highly anticipated GR Corolla.
The new rally-inspired vehicle delivers a significant power upgrade from its predecessor, the GR Yaris. The car comes equipped with a turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine that is capable of producing 300 horsepower at 6,500 rpm through a six-speed manual transmission. In addition, the GR Corolla features a Four Wheel Drive system that can be customized by drivers. For example, drivers can choose from a variety of 4WD combinations including a 50-50 front and rear, a 60 front and 40 rear, and, more unconventionally, a 30 front and 70 rear.
Other notable features of the GR Corolla include a MacPherson suspensions system, 18-inch gloss black cast alloy wheels, 18-inch and 16-inch ventilated brake disks, and 235/40R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.
