Gwyneth Paltrow Just Opened a Goop Pop-Up Store and Café in Tokyo
Katherine Pendrill — May 18, 2019 — Pop Culture
Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle brand Goop frequently features products from around the world, so it makes sense that the latest Goop pop-up would be in all the way in Tokyo, Japan. According to Paltrow herself, Tokyo holds a special place in her heart as one of her "favorite places to eat."
The limited-edition Goop pop-up is a temporary store and cafe concept open until May 26th. Naturally, the pop-up is stocked with all of Goop's bestselling products, including G.Sport workout gear, skincare products, candles, crystals, and more. Since the pop-up was designed as a "livable, shoppable experience," there is also an on-site cafe, inspired by Paltrow's own love of Japanese cuisine. This includes healthy dishes such as vegan miso kale salad, corn soup with coconut milk, and avocado chocolate mousse. When asked about the concept behind the pop-up, Paltrow explains, "In bringing Goop to [Japan], our goal is to further the conversation that it’s acceptable for women to be open about their multiple facets: They can be mothers, businesswomen and own their sexuality, all at one time."
