Google India Recently Rolled Out Maps for Indoor Navigation

Google India has rolled out indoor Google Maps for 75 indoor locations across 22 cities in India, including malls, museums and other popular venues.
This development means that there are now over 10,000 indoor Google Maps worldwide, ranging from just one in Canada to 75 in India to hundreds in the U.S.A.
Indoor Google Maps make use of an adapted version of the location technology used for Google’s ‘My Location’ feature, used for outdoor navigation. One of the interesting features of the relatively new indoor avatar of Google Maps is that when a user moves between different floors of a building, the program will detect which floor they’re on and update its map display accordingly.
Google India says the roll-out is just the beginning, as it is continuing to solicit floor plans from indoor locations and venues interested in being included in indoor Google Maps.
