According to this Infographic by GOOD & Acura, youth born between the years of 1979 and 1993 (known as Millennials) have an average stress level of 5.4 out of 10. In comparison, Generation X has a 5.6 out of 10 average stress level, which is slightly higher.

Sixty percent of Millennials are aware of the importance of stress management; however, only 32 percent are implementing ways to reduce it. What causes the most stress for this generation is money, followed by work, relationships and family responsibilities. Considering the state of the U.S economy, it is no surprise that money and work are at the top of the list. What causes the least amount of stress for Millennials is family health problems, personal health and housing costs.

Some techniques used by this generation to alleviate stress includes listening to music, playing video games and reading. It is important for young adults to implement stress management techniques in order to avoid burnout.
