The Gone app, which helps you sell your stuff online by getting the best price and picking it up for free, is partnering with the United Parcel Service (UPS) to expand its services nationwide. Gone! was until recently only based out of Austin, but this move will enable them to scale at a very fast pace.
The Gone app lets you take pictures of your inventory, but will automatically price it and pick your stuff up for you the same day. They'll also package and ship it to a buyer or to Gone! to re-sell later. The original seller gets a paycheck in the mail a few days later.
The UPS collaboration is resulting in Gone Lite, which ships customers packaging materials automatically. This way, customers can send it off themselves via home pick-up or UPS dropping it off at a local branch.
