French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec's new collection is a series of colored glass furniture for Italian brand Glas Italia.
The objects in the collection called Diapositive include a bench, a chair, shelves and two desks. All the pieces are made from glass panels that sit right angled to each other. The designers explain, "Diapositive consists of an assembly system of simple glass panels in which the edges are protected with pieces of wood, which distract from the impression of fragility." The glass bench uses a thin layer of dark felt to form a cushion for the seat whereas the desks include ash counters for writing.
The pieces are all available in panels of light and dark grey, transparent, orange and pink glass, or a mix of the selections.
