Riccardo Tisci is not known for creating printed, bohemian looks, and thankfully the Givenchy Spring 2012 collection did not stray away from the acclaimed French fashion house's signature aesthetic. Rather than following the current runway trend of prints, patterns, and pastel colors, Tisci maintained the biker-chick glam look that Givenchy is known for.
Jackets were sharp, yet feminine, with strong shoulders acting as a dominating look in the collection. Eelskin, shark and stingray replaced leather as the fabric that stood out the most in the Givenchy Spring 2012 show.
Sex and glamor must have been on Riccardo Tisci's mind while designing the line, as skintight pants, satin shorts and narrow little skirts took over the runway.
Tisci doesn't do anything subtly, so the Givenchy Spring 2012 collection is, in the simplest terms, timelessly chic in an obvious way.
