The Givdo App is a Game That Enables Players to Make Charitable Donations
Alyson Wyers — March 30, 2016 — Tech
In a new platform that combines gaming with charity, the Givdo app lets players raise money for philanthropic organizations.
The startup has a number of approved non-profits that players can swipe through and choose. You can win money for your preferred non-profit by playing games against friends. You can either both play for the same charity or go head to head and see which philanthropy will receive the donation. You can also share on social media and "celebrate your altruistic accomplishments." This would also serve to raise awareness about that charity and hopefully get them further financial contributions for their cause.
The Givdo app is currently in beta mode and is seeking testers for the platform.
