The Ghost Drone is a GoPro-toting filming drone, developed by Chinese/American company Ehang, that tracks and films its user but is much easier to fly and control than other filming drones. Much of the ease of use is thanks to a smartphone-based control system which is claimed to be more user-friendly than the AR.Drone's companion app.
Users can press on-screen buttons on their devices to prompt the Ghost Drone to take off, land, fly to and from selected locations or hover in place. It can also be set to 'Follow' mode, wherein it homes in on the user's smartphone signal and follows them.
The Ghost Drone is powered by an 11.1-volt 5,400-mAh lithium-polymer battery which allows up to 30 minutes of flight time.
