CYRCLE Paints Vivid Murals in an Underground Garage in Montréal
Kalin Ned — July 27, 2018 — Art & Design
The underground garage art installation by creative collective CYRCLE truly uplifts the dreary and depressing ambiance of the conventional parking building. Located in downtown Montréal, the 'Present Futurism: Space is Everything' exhibit touches upon interesting themes that concern themselves with "life, the universe, and the human condition."
CYRCLE is a duo — David Leavitt and David Torres. Their colorful approach to murals adds a playful twist to the space. The garage art installation is characterized by squiggly lines, deceptive 3D-style wormholes and skillfully drawn astronauts. The large-scale Present Futurism: Space is Everything definitely builds on themes of Stanley Kubrick's '2001 Space Odyssey.' In addition, the different instances of artwork — which work both together or separately, will elevate the experience of parking your car.
