Michael Hines — June 1, 2011 — Art & Design
The latest innovative laptop to come out of the Fujitsu "A Life With Future Computing" design contest is the multi-piece Fujitsu Lifebook Frame. The Lifebook Frame was designed by German design duo Patrick Decker and Florian Langer and is made up of individual pieces that attach together to create one incredibly long laptop.
The Fujitsu Lifebook Frame is made up of a memory stick, a battery pack and an HDD and DVD drive. The laptop itself is powered by the hardware built into its keyboard which means that you could theoretically use the Lifebook Frame on any Bluetooth-enabled monitor, theoretically. Not surprisingly, this innovative design was put on the shortlist for finalists and has already been issued a special award by the competition.
