Tesla Rolls Out the FSD Beta Extension of the Autopilot
Tesla is rolling out its new FSD, a full self-driving beta that is available to those in North America -- owners are able to request it right on the car screen. It is essentially an extension of the company's 'Autopilot driver-assist feature, which adds to the automated function.
This includes automated steering services in cities, smart vehicle summoning, automatic parking, and traffic light or stops sign recognition. The additional feature is a paid upgrade option -- it now costs $15,000 after it raised by $3,000 back in September. Elon Musk recently announced the feature online on Twitter. He states "Tesla Full Self-Driving Beta is now available to anyone in North America who requests it from the car screen, assuming you have bought this option."
