These beautiful Fragmented Cabinets share a few features in common with the storage systems that are typically labeled "cabinets." These pieces are perched upon sturdy stands and provide places to stash assorted items, keeping them completely out of sight.
But wooden cubbies, doors and drawers cannot be found in this whimsical trio, for Lanzavecchia + Wai used flexible cloth to bind the rectangular compartments closed. Installed as a series of tightly scrunched bands, the fabric covering can be parted from anywhere around the unit for unexpected accessibility. You might be inclined to feel around for your intended object behind the soft pleated curtain.
