I love fortune cookies so much that I would definitely consider littering my house with Fortune Cookie Stools. I mean, how much more poetic could I get by eating a fortune cookie on my Fortune Cookie Stool?
Of course, there is another, more practical reason as to why I want this particular fate-inspired piece of furniture -- it is simple, organic and sculptural. The Fortune Cookie Stool would add artistic flair to any home as well as elegance with a touch of humor.
Designed by Po Shun Leong for Tendo Furniture Design Concours in Japan, the Fortune Cookie Stool was also inspired by Yanagi's Butterfly Stool. Made from a single piece of flat plywood, Leong first experimented with folding paper to create a 3D shape.
