'Snowday' is a mobile eatery that provides employment for former prisoners. For ex-offenders, starting over can be a difficult and frustrating task. This food truck provides a unique way for former inmates to get back on their feet.
Snowday is the first food truck of its kind to provide locally sourced food served by former prisoners. The mobile restaurant provides these ex-offenders with a steady source of income as well as training that will helps them achieve future career goals. The employees learn all aspects of the restaurant industry, including dish washing, cooking and money management. The goal is to give these individuals an opportunity to start over and eventually go on to full-time jobs or further education.
