The Form Follows Foam collection is not something people necessarily want to sit in. More art than furniture, the designs look as though they were left out on a hot summer day a bit too long. Dripping down to the ground in a mess of pastels, the chairs are playful and practical at the same time.
Designed by Therese Granlund, an industrial designer based in Stockholm, Sweden, the Form Follows Foam collection was created for her MA project at the Design Academy, Eindhoven. She says, “I play with desire and provocation with a collection of furniture that blurs our perceptions of taste and values, acceptance and trash." Her work are conversation starters anyone can get behind.
