It seems that IKEA is venturing into new territory with the news that the discount furniture retailer is testing out a new food delivery service in Paris. In other words, you may soon be able to get Swedish meatballs on demand.
Though most people don't realize it, IKEA sells quite a lot of food. In fact, the retailer is actually the sixth-largest fast food distributor. With so much demand for its Swedish fare, the company has begun testing a food delivery service in Paris. Though on-demand meatballs are not yet available, the new pilot program allows customers to have beets, cabbage, salads, and salmon delivered directly to their home. If successful, the program will expand to Spain and the rest of Europe.
