Pavel Hedström Designs the New Fog X Jacket that Collects Fog
Swedish designer Pavel Hedström creates the new Fog X jacket that is made for travelers in remote locations. It is able to create drinking water from the fog as the jacket is able to trap water from the air. It also can expand into a one-person shelter to offer protection from the sun as well.
Droplets of fog are able to be caught in the mesh and then pulled down by gravity and delivers to an integrated water pocket that is in the jacket. Additionally, it can also catch rain and mist in the same manner. Pavel Hedström tells Dezeen that "The jacket itself is not the solution for water scarcity. But it shows a direction we could go down. And maybe for people like you and me, having the jacket on would change our mind about how we interact with existing ecosystems and how we approach natural resources."
