British design studio Intervention Architecture has designed the bespoke Florin Court flat located in north London. It is designed with plywood joinery accents that intentionally conceals furniture including a collapsed dining table and pull-down bed. The micro-apartment overlooks Charterhouse Square and is nestled within a nine-story art deco building originally designed by Guy Morgan and Partners in 1938.
The founder of Intervention Architecture, Anna Parker spoke to Dezeen about the design concept behind the space. She shares, "The brief here was to create joinery for lots of storage and to have it all hidden behind doors to make the apartment feel more spacious." It is home to a couple of young artists who tapped the help of the studio after seeing images of its work on the city's Barbican estate.
