The FitBark Allows Pet Owners to Keep Tabs on Their Dog's Health
Vasiliki Marapas — January 9, 2015 — Lifestyle
FitBark, an activity tracker for puppies and dogs, was introduced at CES 2015.
The accelerometer is attached onto the pet's collar, where it measures patterns in their activity. The device takes the pup's breed, weight and age into consideration when making its evaluation. The comprehensive data is then sent to the accompanying smartphone app, giving owners the detailed information they need to make sure they're giving their pet the best care possible.
The app suggests a goal for the pet (called a 'Bark Point') which is broken down according to play time, active time and rest time. Much like a fitness tracker for humans, the FitBark also creates charts and graphs which track the dog's progress over time.
