'Kaishi' is an app-connected fetal heart rate monitor for expectant women, who may use the device to listen to their baby's heartbeat using just their smartphone—as the brand boasts, no gel or wires are required. As well as being able to listen to a developing baby's heartbeat, the app also helps families to record and share the sounds over social media. To produce the purest heartbeat pattern possible, Kaishi filters out other sounds, such as a mother's own heartbeat, digestive system and other bodily sounds.
Kaishi was recognized as the 'Audience Favorite' by the The Bump Best of Baby Tech Awards at CES 2017.
Although the fetal heart rate monitor was developed in California, it has been launched in China and connects to popular social networks like Weibo and WeChat.
