Cecilia Biemann — October 17, 2008 — Pop Culture
These amazing photographs depicting images of fetal animals inside the wombs of their mothers were captured for a documentary called Extraordinary Animals in the Womb.
The images include an emperor penguin embryo inside its egg at just one week's gestation, a lemon shark embryo at around five weeks in the womb, a baby kitten that is about a week away from being born, and a Chihuahua fetus, also photographed during the final week of pregnancy.
The documentary, which took several years to make, is due to be aired in the UK this month.
