UK designer Michael Lambourn came up with his ingenious exploding Smart Lock to encourage people to keep up this healthy and gas-saving activity by deterring bike thieves.
The device quickly secures both the wheels and the frame. If the lock is cut, a colored liquid is explosively released, marking both the thief and the ground. It is in essence a forensic lock which helps identify the thief if he or she is caught soon enough. The marked ground also advertises vulnerable parking spots.
