Eric Joyner is famous for this robot illustrations. He has been incorporating delicious looking donuts in these paintings for a series that makes no rational sense at all.
The artist states that upon deciding to be an artists he marked three rules for himself: “1 – I will only paint things I like, 2 – The subject(s) had to be something that I could paint for 30 years, and 3 – That people like it. ”
Following these guidelines, he has been painting donuts and robots. The fact that they make no sense makes them interesting for the artist.
The series are all incredibly vibrant and skillfully painted. Even though rationality isn’t the series’ main forte, compositions created in the frames are random and hilarious with aesthetics that are truly pleasing.
