French photographer Emmanuel Coupe has taken a series of hyperrealistic images in his Utah series. Born in Paris, Coupe has since taken to America where he has captured an assortment of breathtaking images, many of them appearing much like surreal paintings.
Coupe's Utah collection is particularly memorable as he took in an assortment of colors as they are present in its dry desert. Among the shades displayed are pale pinks, blues and yellows, doing justice to the Capitol Reef National Park. Texture is also present in Utah as the pictures jump out at viewers, an offshoot of the hills and grooves in the mountains that are depicted. Given the exceptional detail, it follows that he was recognized as the Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2009.
