The Elod Beregszaszi 'Popupology' collection puts all of the snowflakes and homemade Mother's Day cards I made in the 1st grade to shame. With the use of a classic technique, Elod Beregszaszi creates very modern pieces that will at once seem familiar and exciting to an audience.
The elaborate paper models that Elod Beregszaszi creates are far beyond anything I've ever seen and, though reminiscent of origami, simply cannot be categorized. The artist calls his method "paper engineering" or "popupology," which is the name of the collection.
Pieces from the Elod Beregszaszi 'Popupology' line includes everything from intricately crafted, to-scale replicas of cathedrals to mini portraits of hands, letters from the alphabet and other familiar subjects.
