Up-and-coming fashion designer Mark Fast describes his style as ‘gothic elegance.’ His collection for Spring/Summer 2009, shown at London Fashion Week and in this video, has been a hit with front-row viewers and fashion critics alike.
His dresses are body-hugging, lacy knits in solid red, black and blue and look fabulous teamed up with ultra-high gladiator stilettos. Swinging fringe accents the bottom of some of the gowns, adding movement to the otherwise skin-tight frocks.
In an interview with Dazed Digital he calls his designs ‘pseudo-metallic knitted body armour.’ Fast hopes to one day create costumes for Tim Burton films. Born in Canada, Fast now resides in East London.
