The conceptual 'LUNIAQ' electric lunar rover has been designed by space architect Tomas Rousek of the XTEND Design studio as a transportation solution that's imagined for the future of lunar colonization. The vehicle draws design inspiration from the Skoda ENYAQ electric car and accommodates up to four passengers to help them get around either in an autonomous manner or via remote operation. The rover is paired with two hatches that all for intuitive access to both space modules as well as the moon base to prevent cross-contamination.
The conceptual 'LUNIAQ' electric lunar rover is imagined with large, soft wheels courtesy of Michelin Tweel technology that would enable maximum comfort for passengers that would also make it easier to traverse the surface of the Moon.
