As part of an effort to fight illiteracy in the world, the 'El ingenioso Don Quijote de la Mancha' cover was created. The paper-crafted cover designed by Lobulo Designs is just one of the illustrations submitted by over 100 artists in 28 countries.
This project by DoeDeMee titled '100 book covers to fight illiteracy' aims to turn 100 classic book covers into posters, to raise awareness of illiteracy throughout the world. While the main purpose of this project is to raise awareness, it also hopes to encourage individuals to pick up books and check out these talented artists.
All of the artists in the project were encouraged to put their own personal spin and unique artistic talents into their poster creations. The poster Lobulo Design designed was created solely out of origami-styled paper, and pays tribute to the influential Spanish literary work 'Don Quijote.' All proceeds from the sold posters, which will be available early September, will go to an organization aimed at fighting growing illiteracy. The'El ingenioso Don Quijote de la Mancha' cover represents just one of 100 book covers recreated to fight illiteracy.
