Sebastian Alberdi Designs the Eiger Garden Chair for Füür

Designer Sebastian Alberdi has designed the Eiger garden chair for Füür in collaboration with Marcela Lozano, who is the founder of the Swiss eco home imprint. The furniture joins the brand's Gummi Line capsule, which is comprised of repurposed decommissioned fire hoses transformed into design objects.
The upcycled materials are altered to function as both the seat and backrest of the garden chair. The hose is carefully cut and then stitched in order to create straps that wrap around the iroko wood frame, which creates a warm and natural element for the woven polyester mesh and synthetic rubber build of the hose. It is presented in three original colors to avoid dyeing processes: Red, Stone, and Green.
