hm-LI Studio is a creative firm led by Haoming Li and she has reimagined a new trio of collections through the lens of bend wood's fluidity. It kicks off with the Weaving Chair series followed by the Le Sourire Chair inspired by calligraphy and rounded out by the Curl Cabinet series.
All of the pieces transform how wood functions as the narrative and unveils how it can unveil new purposes with familiar materials. All of the designs by Li are deeply personal and stem from her heritage and background. She speaks more on the Weaving Chair range for example, “This idea of transforming flatness into volume became the core of the piece. I believe that design should be approachable yet profound, allowing people to feel a sense of connection with the piece.”
