Blancier Handmade Watches has taken a little rubbish from your morning routine and repurposed it into these beautiful, eco-friendly watches. You would never imagine by looking at these unique and elegant timepieces that they are made from old Nespresso coffee capsules.
The patented system uses the old cups for each watch face, and features a mechanical wind-by-hand system instead of batteries. Thus, it isn't only contributing to the recycling of the popular coffee products, but also creating one of the most sustainable watches on the market.
The company chose Nespresso coffee capsules above all else because they are made of anodized aluminium, which makes the colors wear-resistant and they remain intact even when the capsule is flattened with a 1,000 kg weight. This aspect also makes every watch face uniquely its own.
