Although stone paper is an alternative to paper that comes from trees, it works just like regular paper. Stone paper is made from about 80% calcium carbonate, one of the most abundant substances on the planet, as well as a natural byproduct of water and limestone. The making of stone paper does not call for any water, chlorine, acids or petroleum in the manufacturing process.
