Casio Introduces the New DW-5000R Watch Honoring a Classic

G-Shock brings attention back to its roots and heritage with the latest watch design in the form of the DW-5000R. It is essentially a reproduction of the DW-5000C which is the first Casio G-Shock silhouette that made its debut in 1983. On the exterior, it looks nearly identical to the original model that launched 40 years ago including the length and dimple positioning along the strap.
The DW-5000R is updated mostly on the technical features to ensure that it is better suited for modern-day wearing. The high-brightness LED backlight is now integrated to replace the original. The bezel and band are crafted using bio-based resin, which is a material that is used for a more sustainable build.
