The Casio G-SHOCK DW-5000R has been shown off by the brand as a reimagining of its original DW-5000C timepiece from 1983 to pay homage to the timekeeper and satisfy consumer demand for nostalgic accessories.
The watch boasts a slightly larger case than the original version, while also boasting a new LED backlight along with the incorporation of biomass plastic on the bezel and the band to reduce the use of virgin materials. The watch case is also crafted from stainless steel, while the accessory also features a stopwatch timer, multifunctional alarm, calendar display and more.
The Casio G-SHOCK DW-5000R is expected to launch in Japan on December 13, 2024 for 33,000 yen and is expected to be a must-have amongst digital watch enthusiasts.
