Walmart Partners Up with DroneUp Service Provider for Deliveries

The DroneUp service provider has become Walmart's newest partner. To help the retail giant in its continued efforts to deliver goods to its customers quickly, DroneUp and Walmart launched a trial of deliveries of at-home COVID-19 self-collection kits last year.
After safely completing the DroneUp trial process, Walmart invested in the company to continue working towards "developing a scalable last-mile delivery solution," as president and CEO of Walmart U.S, John Furner explained. The on-demand drone delivery network a database matched with more than 10,000 Federal Aviation Administration certified pilots to nationwide missions. DroneUp is, therefore, committed to ensuring that all safety measures and maintained during deliveries. Moreover, the service adheres to the FAA 107.39 waiver, wherein delivery flights are conducted over people and moving vehicles.
