An all-female taxi service dubbed DriveHer is continuing its expansion, having recently revealed that its ready for operation in Toronto, Canada.
Set to launch this Friday, DriveHer serves as the latest addition to the competitive ride-share scene. This service functions similarly to Uber, except it only hires female drivers, and only picks up female passengers. The women-owned company boasts itself as an alternative service for women who may feel unsafe or uncomfortable hailing a ride from a male driver. With over 100 female drivers signed up on the app, DriveHer stands as the first female-focused company that's run "by women, for women."
DriveHer users will be met with an assortment of passenger-focused in-app option, like pre-scheduling rides, emergency call features and safety tips.
