DnB NOR Building Looks Like a Retro Game Screen
Christina Butty — September 19, 2009 — Art & Design
While this looks like a configuration that a person might see in a game of Tetris, it is actually a design for a new DnB NOR bank in Oslo, Norway. Created by Dutch architects MVRDV, the DnB NOR building will be the headquarters for the bank. Upon completion (due in 2012) it will be 17 floors.
This DnB NOR building will be a part of the Bjørvika waterfront development in the city.
Implications - Consider me impressed and shocked. Who knew that a video game could the basis of such a beautiful design concept? When this is completed, expect it to be an international tourist destination for real gamers across the globe.
