These tiny DIY robots have an origami-like construction and can be assembled without any tools in under an hour.
These 'Kamigami' robots snap together and are capable of performing a rapid six-legged movement similar to an insect or lizard at speeds of 6 feet per second. These DIY robots also feature interchangeable colored shells that snap on top of a chassis containing a circuit board, an array of different sensors and a rechargeable battery.
The robots can also be controlled remotely via Bluetooth through a mobile app at distances up to 100 feet away. Using the mobile interface, each robot can be controlled, assigned different behaviors or characteristics and can even be paired up with other robots to interact and compete with one another.
