Buzzfeed recently produced a series of photos that demonstrate what different characters would look like if they traded faces with iconic Disney villains. While Disney princesses have undergone a number of transformations over the years, the villains characters have remained unchanged. This series uses villainous characteristics to give the Disney princesses a bit of an edge.
Staff writer Pedro Fequiere creatively uses Photoshop to swap the faces of several iconic Disney villains. The series features classic pairs such as Ariel and Ursula, Belle and Gaston and even Mulan and Shan Yu. To create the villainous princesses, Fequiere switched up the eyes, month and facial expression of each princess. Fequiere then applied the same techniques to soften the features of the scoundrels. The end result is a set of angry heroines and gentle villains.
The unusual face swaps allow us to imagine what the iconic princesses might have looked like if they had not been the heroines.
