The Dish of Light series is an artistic take on the common lamp. In place of the typical vertical table designs, these light fixtures lay in a more horizontal position for both function and style. Sculpturally abstract, the lamps could easily be mistaken for works of art, which in a way they are, rather than practical pieces of furniture.
Designed by Japanese design firm Kyouei, the Dish of Light series is comprised of four lamps. While each one is made out of iron with different plating and boast similar shapes, they all come together differently. For instance, the Dish of Light B uses a hanging bulb as a counterweight while balances the glow from two bulbs.
