Discord Go Live will be a new live streaming feature for users of the Discord Platform. It will be available beginning on August 15th, where Discord Go Live will allow users to stream in-game video to 10 others. There are also no server-wide limitations placed on how many users can stream at once. Streaming will be captured in 720p video, however paying customers will be able to access 1080p video. Subscribers to Nitro will be able to access streaming capabilities up to 4K and 60 fps.
The new Discord feature was created to give users a similar experience to playing video games with friends in a room. Go Live is different from other streaming services, due to its limited viewer count and the absence of webcams.
