Discord Launched a New Subscription and Features with YouTube

Discord launched a new, more affordable paid subscription tier named 'Nitro Basic.' This tier retails for only $2.99 USD, nearly one-third of the regular Discord Nitro subscription. Despite its low cost, Nitro Basic still allows users to use custom emojis, use GIF emojis, use emojis cross different servers, and upload files up to 50MB in size. However, the more affordable subscription tier does not allow for server boosts, HD video streaming, and other premium features.
In addition to launching Nitro Basic, Discord released a new 'Activities' feature that integrates with YouTube, the popular video-sharing website. These integrations involve the ability to host a YouTube watch party through Discord's 'YouTube Watch Together' service, and to have your Discord status show which YouTube video you are currently watching, if desired.
