This fall, Tender Greens is serving up a series of classic Italian sandwiches like the Chicken Pesto and Di Stefano Mozz, but with a California-inspired twist.
Designed to carry consumers right through until Thanksgiving, Tender Greens' new menu consists of a Californian take on Italian deli classics. For instance, the new Salumi & Provolone pairs p. balistreri salami and cotto,with mortadella, provolone, kale and sunflower seed pesto, and giardiniera. On the other hand, the Di Stefano Mozz takes di stefano mozzarella and layers it with preserved tomatoes, arugula, kale and sunflower seed pesto, and aioli. Lastly, the Chicken Pesto sandwich features chicken breast, provolone cheese, preserved tomatoes, arugula, kale and sunflower seed pesto, and aioli. While each sandwich has its own unique character, what ties them all together is the use f crunchy, chewy sourdough bread that's grilled to order and brushed with a savory garlic herb oil.
